Our all new Drone Cage boasts a large opening at the front of the cage to allow for maximum camera real estate. The cutting edge Geodesic Sphere design allows for a much stronger, and smaller frame around the drone. This has benefits such as a smaller cross section for navigating the tightest of entry points, along with being much lighter and durable for when the inevitable happens.

The sphere gives enough headroom on top of the Avata 2 for additional payload attachments without interference, whilst the lower frame section has a wide footprint to ensure a stable landing. The innovative design has a low impact on the air flow to and from the propellers, keeping flight time and efficiency in mind.

Constructed from aerospace grade carbon fibre materials, Drone Cage is the commercial “go to” choice for professional UAV protection. Showcasing precision 3D printed components, the air frame is super light weight, agile and rugged.

We’ve moved away from the more common hobby grade circular/globe one piece designs, and developed a product that has been proven time and time again to be stronger, more reliable and longer lasting. Drone Cage is the only full 360 degree protective cage available on the market that has little or no camera obstruction, and still allows use of the UAV’s object detection systems. The Drone Cage can also be operated outside for short periods of time, for the purpose of traversing to and from entry/exit points.

What are the advantages our Drone Cage has, over other solutions?

1. Cost. With even the most expensive version of the Avata 2, combined with our unique Drone Cage, it is still over 20 times cheaper and more cost effective than purpose built aircraft, with permanently fixed cages.

2. Flight time. An Avata 2 equipped with our Drone Cage system has twice the flight time capability of other purpose built caged aircraft. Not only that, our unique system is payload compatible, allowing the use of a wide range of aftermarket accessories.

3. Collision tolerance. Drone Cage has been built with protection as the priority. Our system boasts aerospace grade carbon fibre, taking advantage of its weight vs. strength properties.

4. Positioning. Drone Cage allows full use** of the DJI video stereo positioning system. This system is one of, if not the best, UAV positioning systems currently available. So the Drone Cage can take full advantage of this useful feature.

5. Multiple roles. As an inspection company, you may already own one or several DJI Aircraft. Drone Cage further extends the already superior capabilities of existing equipment, without the need to buy expensive single function aircraft. A confined space inspection can be carried out early one morning, immediately followed by the same aircraft being used for external photogrammetry. Purpose built aircraft are not always able to fulfil this role.
